Performance and Operating System
Powered by a 200 MHz Intel PXA255 processor, the MIO 8380 operates on the Microsoft Smartphone 2002 platform. This operating system marked a breakthrough in mobile computing, transitioning from simple feature phones to more capable devices that could handle a variety of tasks beyond mere calls and texts. Although the processor was modest for handling modern applications, at its time, it was adequate for basic smartphone functions such as managing contacts, scheduling, and browsing the web using WAP 2.0/xHTML.
