Connectivity and Features
Connectivity options were somewhat limited, with the exclusion of WLAN. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP facilitated wireless audio streaming, while GPS capabilities harnessing the SiRF Star III chipset were a standout feature, favoured by users who relied on navigation services. The MIO A501 also supported WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML 4.0 for browsing basic internet content, though expectedly with some restraints given the period's technology.
