Display and User Interface
The M528 features a dual display system, with its primary CSTN screen capable of rendering 65,000 colors at a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. The display's color depth and resolution, while quite modest by today’s standards, were in line with similar devices at the time. The external display, also a CSTN panel with a 96 x 64 pixel resolution, allowed users a quick glance at notifications without flipping open the device. This functionality, although basic, enhanced the user experience by saving battery life through reduced screen usage.
