Motorola A1010 Display and Interface

Display and Interface

The phone was equipped with a 2.9-inch TFT resistive touchscreen that could display 256K colors. Although its screen-to-body ratio was only about 35.9%, typical for phones of that era, it provided a decent display for its size with a resolution of 208 x 320 pixels. The resistive touchscreen, while less responsive than capacitive screens that would later dominate the market, sufficed for basic stylus-based interactions—a common feature at the time. The SYMBIAN 7.0 operating system, paired with UIQ v2.1 UI, was aimed at providing an accessible user interface that was customizable with downloadable wallpapers and screensavers.
