Software and Features
While the Motorola A835’s software might appear rudimentary today, it catered well to early adopters of technology. It supported messaging through SMS, EMS, MMS, and email, making it suitable for both personal and business communication. The WAP 2.0/xHTML browser enabled early mobile browsing, albeit in a very limited capacity. Notably absent were pre-installed games, yet users could download Java-based games, demonstrating the move towards software customization. Organizational features and a modest set of downloadable applications also enhanced its utility.
