Initially running on Android 2.1 Eclair and upgradable to Android 2.2 Froyo, the Motorola DEFY is powered by the TI OMAP 3610 chipset. Its 800 MHz Cortex-A8 CPU, coupled with the PowerVR SGX530 GPU and 512MB of RAM, delivers moderate performance for the time. This configuration was sufficient for typical applications and moderate multitasking without significant lag. However, users seeking intensive gaming or complex applications might find its capabilities limited.
