Performance and Software

The phone was launched with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread but was upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, providing an improved user interface and enhanced functionality through the update. Under the hood, it ran on a TI OMAP 4430 chipset with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. Complementing this hardware, the device had 1GB of RAM, which supported multitasking, and it originally included 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSDHC card slot. These specifications allowed for reasonably swift performance for most everyday tasks and some gaming applications.
