Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, the DROID Turbo houses a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and an Adreno 420 GPU. This combination provided substantial processing power, allowing the phone to handle demanding applications and multitasking with ease. Initially shipped with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, it was upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, maintaining app compatibility and software features up until its discontinuation. The device came with two internal storage options—32GB and 64GB—with no external card slot, which was a limitation in terms of expandability despite the generous built-in storage.
