Performance and Software

The DROID X is powered by a TI OMAP3630 chipset, featuring a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and a PowerVR SGX530 GPU, paired with 512MB of RAM. It originally launched with Android 2.1 (Eclair), upgradable to 2.3 (Gingerbread), offering users improved performance and additional features with the upgrade. While its processing capabilities may not match contemporary devices, it was sufficient for basic multitasking and running applications available at the time.
