Features and Functionality
Functionally, the Motorola E380 was designed for simplicity and basic communication. It lacks many modern connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB interfaces, further solidifying its role as a straightforward communication device. The phone supported GSM 900/1800 networks, providing reliable voice communication and basic GPRS for data.
The absence of a camera and a loudspeaker may seem peculiar today but were not uncommon in budget-friendly phones of that era. Music and sound capabilities were limited to vibration alerts and downloadable polyphonic ringtones with an inbuilt composer.
