Powered by an Intel XScale 300 MHz processor, the device uses a Linux-based operating system, which was quite innovative for its time. Although it may not compete with contemporary smartphones in terms of processing power, the E680i was sufficient for the tasks and multimedia experiences available during that period. It includes 50MB of internal storage, expandable via MMC/SD cards up to 2GB, which represented a significant amount of expandable storage for users with substantial media or app needs.
