Performance and Connectivity
Under the hood, the Motorola E770 was equipped to handle GSM and UMTS networks, supporting 2G bands 900/1800/1900 and 3G bands on 2100, which allowed for improved voice quality and data speeds up to 384 kbps. At the time, this was quite adequate for basic mobile internet browsing via its WAP 2.0/xHTML browser, although such speeds would feel painfully slow for today’s data-intensive activities. The phone's connectivity featured Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP support, making it one of the earlier models to allow for wireless audio streaming, albeit lacking Wi-Fi and GPS, which were yet to become standard features in cell phones.
