Under the hood, the RAZR D1 is equipped with a Mediatek MT6575M chipset, a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. These specifications are modest, designed for basic usage such as handling everyday apps, browsing, and social media. Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, upgradable to KitKat 4.4.2, the device managed to provide a sensible user experience for its time but struggled with more demanding applications. Its internals were complemented by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, the latter expandable via microSDHC, which was crucial given the limited onboard capacity.
