Network and Connectivity
Designed to operate on GSM 900 networks, the StarTAC 130 was limited to 2G connectivity—standard for its release period. The lack of GPRS and EDGE capabilities meant data connectivity was nonexistent, and thus, internet functions were absent. However, primary communication needs were well served through its reliable voice call functionality. The absence of more advanced connectivity options like WLAN, Bluetooth, or USB support clearly illustrates the device's focus on core telephony.
