Design and Display
The Motorola V872 is compact and efficient in its design. With dimensions of 87 x 46 x 21.8 mm and weighing just 90 grams, the phone is extremely portable, fitting easily into pockets or small bags. This particular design, characterized by its clamshell format, was highly popular at the time for its durability and the way it protected the keypad and main screen. The phone houses a primary TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. This was quite standard for phones during that period, providing a satisfactory visual experience for basic tasks and applications. Additionally, the Motorola V872 includes a secondary OLED display on the outside of the flip, with a resolution of 96 x 32 pixels. This external screen was useful for quickly viewing time, battery status, and call alerts without needing to open the phone.
