Connectivity and Sound
The phone was equipped with GSM connectivity, supporting GSM 850/900/1800/1900 bands, which allowed global use for travelers. It included GPRS and EDGE for basic mobile internet access, adequate for lightweight tasks. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP allowed wireless connection to headsets and car systems, though the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack made wired connections less convenient. While Motorola omitted WLAN, positioning, and radio features, it provided a miniUSB 1.1 port for charging and data transfer.
