Design and Display
The NEC c616v was designed in a compact and somewhat bulky form factor with dimensions measuring 103 x 53 x 26 mm and a weight of 130 grams. Its body, constructed to fit comfortably in the hand, speaks to the more utilitarian design sensibilities of its era. The phone featured a dual-display system: a main 2.2-inch TFT color screen with a modest resolution of 176 x 240 pixels, offering 65K colors. Though the screen-to-body ratio was relatively low at 27.3%, it provided a functional interface for basic tasks and multimedia features typical of early 2000s technology. The secondary monochrome display was utilitarian, serving primarily as a status indicator for incoming calls and basic notifications.
