Connectivity and Performance
As a device operating on GSM 2G networks, the NEC e121 supported bands GSM 900, 1800, and 1900, providing ample coverage for making calls and sending messages in various regions around the world where these frequencies were prevalent. It had GPRS Class 10 for basic internet capabilities but lacked EDGE, which limited faster data transfer options. Notably, the phone did not feature additional connectivity options like Bluetooth or WLAN, and it lacked a USB port, making data transfer cumbersome by today's standards.
