Review of the NEC e808
Introduction and Design
The NEC e808, announced in the first quarter of 2003, showcases the design ethos and technological capabilities from two decades ago. At first glance, the device stands out due to its unique dimensions: 105 x 80 x 23 mm. Although it is compact in width and height, the NEC e808 is fairly bulky at 23 mm thick and weighs in at 200 grams, making it heavier than many modern smartphones. Despite its bulkiness, the phone features a full QWERTY keyboard, a distinct advantage at a time when physical typing input was highly sought after.
