NEC G9D+ Design and Build

Design and Build

The NEC G9D+ is designed with dimensions of 145 x 49 x 22.5 mm, making it a relatively large device by today’s standards. At 200 grams, it is quite hefty, attributed to its robust construction typical of the late '90s mobile phones. The phone uses a Mini-SIM, which was the standard at the time. Its design is straightforward with an alphanumeric display that accommodates only 4 lines with a 12-character capacity. The fixed icons and limited display size highlighted the utility-focused design ethos of the period.
