NEC N600 Display

Display

For its time, the NEC N600's TFT resistive touchscreen was a standout feature, offering 65K colors and a resolution of 176 x 240 pixels in a 4:3 aspect ratio. While modest by today’s standards, the display was sufficient for its simple graphical user interface. The phone also showcased handwriting recognition software, which was an innovative addition aiming to provide a more intuitive method for text input, although the resistive touchscreen technology required more pressure and wasn't as responsive as modern capacitive screens.
