Performance and Features
The NEC N700 is based on GSM technology, supporting 900/1800 MHz bands, which was a common standard for basic network coverage during its release period. However, it does not support EDGE or 3G technologies, leaving it strictly in the 2G realm. Lacking both a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm audio jack, the phone primarily relies on vibration and downloadable polyphonic ringtones for notifications and calls, a limitation by today’s standards.
One of its nostalgic attributes is the LED flash-equipped CIF main camera, offering basic photography functionality without video capability or selfie options. At a time when camera phones were becoming more widespread, the CIF resolution, equivalent to VGA quality, was suitable for simple snapshots.
