The device features a primary 2.2-inch TFT screen capable of displaying 256K colors. With a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, the screen delivers a pixel density of approximately 182 ppi, sufficient for basic phone functions and modest multimedia usage. The screen's screen-to-body ratio of around 31.2% reflects the design priorities of the time, focusing less on screen real estate and more on physical buttons and form. Additionally, the N840 includes a secondary external STN display with 65K colors and a resolution of 120 x 30 pixels, useful for quick notifications without needing to unlock the main display.
