Performance
Under the hood, the Nokia 5.1 is powered by the MediaTek MT6755S Helio P18 chipset with an octa-core CPU featuring four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 cores and four 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. This setup is paired with a Mali-T860MP2 GPU. While not the most powerful combination available, it is adequate for day-to-day tasks such as browsing, social media, and light gaming. The phone originally shipped with Android 8.0 (Oreo) but is upgradable to Android 10 under the Android One program, ensuring a largely stock Android experience with regular updates and security patches.
The device comes in two configurations: 16GB of internal storage with 2GB RAM and 32GB with 3GB RAM. These storage options can be expanded via a dedicated microSDXC slot, offering flexibility for users needing more space than what is onboard.
