Running on the Symbian 9.4 operating system with Series 60 release 5, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is powered by a 434 MHz ARM 11 processor. While not designed for heavy multitasking, the performance was sufficient for basic tasks, music playing, and running select applications suited for the Symbian platform. The phone offers 70MB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSDHC slot, which included a 4GB card, providing ample space for songs and photos.
