Running on the Symbian 9.4, Series 60 rel. 5 operating system, the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition provided a user experience tailored towards the needs of the late 2000s smartphone consumer. The device was powered by a 434 MHz ARM 11 processor, which, while modest by today's standards, was adequate for handling basic tasks and navigation applications efficiently. The provision of 128MB of RAM and 81MB of internal storage facilitated these operations, supplemented by an 8GB microSDHC card, expandable through a dedicated slot for additional memory needs.
