Under the hood, the Nokia 6720 Classic runs on the Symbian OS with the S60 rel. 3.2 interface, powered by a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor. This combination delivered a competent performance for running basic applications, navigating menus, and managing moderate multitasking. It included an internal memory of 50 MB, expandable via a microSDHC card slot, which came with an included 1 GB card to store additional data and media.
