The Nokia N81's design accentuates both utility and style with its smooth, sliding mechanism, allowing for a compact form when not in use. Its dimensions—102 x 50 x 17.9 mm—and weight of 140 grams made it hefty enough to feel secure in one's hand yet sleek enough to fit comfortably in a pocket. The physical build is complemented by a touch-sensitive Navi wheel that offers a unique way of navigating menus and selecting options, marking a standout feature distinguishing it from many other devices available at that time. The choice of colors, cobalt blue and graphite grey, added a touch of elegance and sophistication to its overall appearance.
