Performance and Software
Under the hood, the N9 houses a TI OMAP 3630 chipset, featuring a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and PowerVR SGX530 GPU. While these specifications might seem dated now, they were competitive at the time. The absence of expandable storage is compensated by generous internal storage options of 16GB and 64GB, paired with 1GB of RAM, ensuring smooth operation for typical tasks and multitasking.
Operating on MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan, the N9 offered a refreshing and intuitive user interface relying heavily on swipe gestures, which was quite innovative at its time. Although MeeGo was short-lived, it won praise for its smooth execution and simplicity. However, the limited ecosystem for apps hindered its broader appeal. It was also equipped with features such as SNS integration and an HTML5-capable browser, keeping users connected and entertained.
