Performance and Software
Powered by a 600 MHz Cortex-A8 CPU and a PowerVR SGX530 GPU, the N900 was capable of handling the multitasking demands when it was released. Its 256MB RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via a microSDHC slot) provided substantial space for applications and media. The Maemo 5 platform, a Linux-based OS, offered an advanced multitasking environment akin to a desktop experience, which was groundbreaking for a mobile device at the time. The presence of Adobe Flash support in the web browser enhanced its internet capabilities.
