One of the distinguishing features of the XDA Atom is its 2.7-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display. Although it only supports 256K colors with an actual effective output of 65K, the screen quality was satisfactory for 2005. Offering a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels with a 4:3 ratio, users experienced adequate clarity for productivity tasks and media playback, although the screen-to-body ratio of 38.2% seems quite low by modern standards. The inclusion of handwriting recognition was a notable feature, aimed at enhancing user interaction and convenience.
