Powered by a TI OMAP 850 chipset with a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S processor, the O2 XDA Orion was aimed at handling essential smartphone tasks, though it may seem underwhelming now. The device runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, a robust operating system of that time, which offered basic smartphone functionalities including email, web browsing, and media playback. With 64MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM, users had limited onboard storage, but the inclusion of a MiniSD card slot allowed for memory expansion—a significant benefit for extending its storage capabilities.
