Connectivity and Features
Connectivity options are somewhat limited, reflecting the technological context of its time. The device is compatible with GSM networks across 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 bands and supports GPRS for basic mobile internet access, but not EDGE. It features Bluetooth 1.2 for wireless connectivity, alongside an infrared port for short-range data transfer—an option that was beginning to fade even at the time of its release. Unfortunately, it does not include WLAN or GPS positioning, subsequently limiting its scope as a truly connected smart device.
