Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, the Oppo Neo 5s runs on a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 306 GPU. With 1GB of RAM, performance is adequate for basic day-to-day tasks, but multitasking and demanding applications may reveal the limitations of this hardware. The device originally launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat skinned with Oppo's ColorOS 2, providing a reasonable user experience with a range of customization options typical for Oppo devices at that time.
