Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Oppo R1 R829T was powered by a Mediatek MT6582 chipset. Its Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, paired with Mali-400MP2 GPU, provided sufficient performance for typical tasks like browsing, media playback, and light gaming. However, the 1GB RAM might have been a limiting factor for multitasking or running more demanding apps.

The phone ran on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, which was a stable version at that time, though it lacked more modern features introduced in newer OS updates. The absence of a memory card slot meant users were limited to the phone's internal storage capacity of 16GB, which might not have been sufficient for all users given it's shared between the system and user data.
