Under the hood, the Oppo R7 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset with an octa-core CPU configuration consisting of 4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53. It also features an Adreno 405 GPU. While these specs were decent for a mid-range device at its time, it provides adequate performance for day-to-day tasks. The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Oppo's ColorOS 2.1 overlay, which offers a smooth user interface with useful customizations.
