Design and Build
The Palm Treo 270 showcases a design that captures the transitional phase from PDAs to smartphones in the early 2000s. It features a compact form factor with dimensions measuring 108 x 71 x 21 mm and a weight of 153 grams. This makes it slightly bulky by today's standards but was quite portable for a device that combined phone and organizer functions at that time. The use of a resistive CSTN touchscreen capable of displaying 4096 colors was a notable feature back then, though the 160 x 160 pixel resolution seems rudimentary today. Its QWERTY keyboard offered a tactile response and was aimed at users who valued text input efficiency for emails and note-taking.
