In terms of software, the MX6 offered basic messaging capabilities with support for SMS and MMS formats while hosting a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser, allowing rudimentary mobile browsing. Entertainment needs were partially catered to with built-in games and support for Java MIDP 2.0, allowing for third-party applications and games to be installed. However, the absence of a loudspeaker limits audio consumption unless through designated means.
