Connectivity and Features
Concerning connectivity, the Panasonic X200 had limited options. It operated on GSM 2G networks—making it suitable primarily for voice calls and SMS—but lacked more advanced connectivity options like Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS, which are commonplace in modern devices. An infrared port was available for basic data transfer, which, despite being slow, was a useful feature at the time. The absence of a 3.5mm audio jack and external speaker limited its audio capabilities to vibration alerts and polyphonic ringtones, which could be downloaded for customization.
