Operating on GSM 900/1800 bands, the Panasonic X68/X77 was suitable for global roaming capabilities, common in devices of its time. It supported GPRS Class 8 for mobile data, but lacked more advanced connectivity options like 3G, EDGE, or Wi-Fi, which might limit its usability for data-intensive applications. Notably, the absence of Bluetooth and USB means data transfer options were minimal, although the inclusion of an infrared port provided a basic means to exchange data wirelessly with compatible devices.
