Panasonic X70 Design and Display

Design and Display

The Panasonic X70's compact form factor was one of its defining qualities. With dimensions of 87 x 47 x 24 mm and weighing just 95 grams, it was designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, offering a perfect balance between portability and usability. Its sleek, classic flip-style design was both stylish and functional, protecting the screen from accidental scratches when closed.

The X70 boasted a TFT display capable of showing 65,000 colors, at a resolution of 132 x 176 pixels which was fairly standard at the time. Despite the limited resolution, the display provided clear visibility for simple graphics and text. An added feature was the secondary monochrome display (96 x 28 pixels), which could illuminate in three different colors, providing quick access to essential notifications without needing to open the phone.
