Connectivity and Communication
The Pantech GF500 was significantly limited by modern standards, with no Bluetooth, WLAN, or radio features. Communication was restricted to GSM networks with support for GPRS Class 10. The phone’s infrared port was quite useful at that time for exchanging data with compatible devices. It supported basic SMS, MMS, and EMS messaging, and its WAP 2.0/xHTML browser was adequate for simple internet surfing.
