Pantech GI100 Connectivity and Features

Connectivity and Features

Connectivity options on the Pantech GI100 were limited to GSM 2G network technology, restricted to the 900 and 1800 MHz bands. It offered GPRS Class 10 for data, but lacked support for EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. Consequently, internet access was limited to a basic WAP 1.2.1 browser for light browsing and checking essential information. On a positive note, the phone supported SMS, EMS, and MMS messaging, accommodating different types of mobile communication.

One of the most remarkable features for its time was the front-mounted fingerprint sensor, which allowed users to unlock their phone using biometric authentication, enhancing security and ease of access. The device also supported Java MIDP 1.0, enabling users to download and play basic games, and came with predictive text input to make messaging easier.
