Display and Interface
Equipped with a monochrome graphic display, the Philips Spark provided users with basic visual feedback required for mobile communication. The display could show up to five lines of text and provided an interface controlled by soft keys, a standardized approach in early mobile designs. This interface allowed users to navigate through a handful of functions, including reading SMS messages and accessing a very limited phonebook that only stored contacts directly on the SIM card.
