Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Philips V526 comes with a quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU. While this is certainly not cutting-edge performance by modern standards, at the time it adequately supported general application use, including social media, web browsing, and light gaming. The inclusion of just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage does mean users would need to manage applications and media carefully, although the dedicated microSDXC slot allows for expanded storage, which is a significant plus.
