Connectivity and Communication
In terms of connectivity, the Xenium 9@9i was a fundamental GSM device supporting 2G bands (GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900) with GPRS Class 10 for mobile data. However, it lacked support for EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, or GPS, reflecting the pre-smartphone era's technological limitations. It did, however, feature an infrared port, a then-common method for wireless data transfer. Users could communicate through SMS, MMS, and email, and a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser facilitated basic web browsing. The phone also supported downloadable Java games, enhancing its entertainment value.
