Under the hood, the Plum Trigger is powered by a Mediatek MT6575 chipset paired with a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. The phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which was reasonably current when it was launched. With only 512MB of internal storage and 256MB of RAM, the Trigger's performance is limited, catering predominantly to basic tasks like calling, messaging, and lightweight app usage. It may struggle with multitasking or running more demanding applications. Users can expand storage via a microSDHC card slot to accommodate additional media or files.
