Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Energy X2 runs on a Mediatek MT6580M chipset paired with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. The Mali-400MP2 GPU handles graphics duties. Although this setup is limited by today's standards, it provides competent performance for basic tasks like calling, texting, and light app usage. The device comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, an older version of Android, which offers a stable platform but lacks some of the newer features and security updates found in more recent Android versions.
The phone includes 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a dedicated microSDXC slot, supplemented by 2GB of RAM. This combination allows for basic multitasking and storage of essential apps and media, although power users will quickly find these resources to be limiting.
