Originally shipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the device is upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat, bringing slight improvements in performance and user experience. However, the limitations of Jelly Bean and KitKat in today's context mean it lacks support for many contemporary applications and security updates.
