Missing a camera and any advanced multimedia capabilities, the Sagem MY C-2 leaned towards simplicity. Despite the lack of a 3.5mm jack or music playback options, it did offer a set of downloadable polyphonic and Hi-Fi ringtones, which were quite popular at the time for adding a personal auditory signature to incoming calls. The inclusion of a loudspeaker made it possible to hear calls and alerts clearly, even in slightly noisy environments.
